The Butterfly House Child Advocacy Center will be hosting a table at the Blairsville Stop and Shop located at the Union County Civic Center from 11AM to 7PM. We will be doing kids’ painting and handprint and footprint art as well as selling special SAFE bathbombs. Come by and see us! The kids’ paintings make a great Christmas gift for friends and family members.

Remember My Name

On October 19th SAFE and the community came together to remember those lost to domestic violence-related homicide in 2016. The candle light vigil was very moving as we each read the name of one of those lost and lit candles. This year the community really stepped forward by painting rocks for each of the 95 victims that will be placed around the community. Each person at the vigil read the name of a victim off of the rock and put the rock in the light-up purple ribbon.

Big huge warm thank you to Nottely Marina and Blairsville Rocks for their help and contributions!

Sorghum Festival

During the weekend of October 14th and 15th the Butterfly House Child Advocacy Center set up a booth at the Sorghum Festival, providing information about our programs as well as doing hair wraps and painting for kids.
