Volunteers

Volunteers support S.A.F.E. services and programs in a wide variety of ways such as serving on the Board of Directors, working in the thrift stores, children's programs, personal advocacy, transportation, mentoring, support group facilitators, fund-raising, donation/food pick-up and distribution, shelter maintenance, and special projects.

Opportunities:

Direct Services include direct contact with S.A.F.E. clients. Volunteer positions in this category include:

• Transportation
• Mentor
• Life Skills
• Language Translation or Hearing Impaired
• Professional Services

Children's Program - Direct Services include positions such as:

• Assisting staff in structured activities in the Children's Support Group
• Individual Childcare
• Summer Children's Program or special events

Indirect Services are volunteer positions that do not require working directly with clients but provide overall assistance to the S.A.F.E. program. Positions include:

• Shelter Maintenance
• Pick-Up of Donations
• Grocery Shopping
• Administrative
• Fund Raising
• Thrift Stores
